"Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10
The love of God is a constant, His love is actively working in our lives every minute of the day wherever we are, whatever we do. The bible says in Romans 1:20 that we could learn about God and His love through His creation. God's love is like the gravity of the earth, it is constantly at work pulling us towards Him and giving us life. Gravity keeps our feet firmly on the ground, without it, it will be a nightmare of utter chaos with things flying all over the space. Medical science tells us that at zero gravity, muscle mass and bone loss is at an accelerated rate. Hence, no one could survive for long at zero gravity, it also makes the simple task of drinking water impossible. The presence of gravity is God's proof of the ever present grip of His love towards us.
When you feel that the people you trusted had let you down, when life seemed an endless cycle of work and survival, when you feel there's no one around whom you could share the joys and sorrows of life; just feel the gravity of God's love. God is just right there beside you, keeping you alive. Just like gravity which is working constantly even though you may not always be aware of it. The bible taught us how we could experience God. The bible says in Psalm 46:10, "Be still and know that I am God." God is telling us to be still and sense His love. Some times, we are so occupied that our minds may not be aware that gravity is at work. Jesus encourages us to stop struggling with the cares of the world, of what you eat, drink, wear and the daily necessities of tomorrow. Unless we come to a state of stillness and give to Him all our cares and uncertainties of tomorrow, we will not sense His presence. The bible says, "Cast your cares on Him for He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7.) He is waiting to take over from you the things that are beyond you, the things that you could not do yourself. Do what you needed to do for the day, leave the outcome to God. His love is at work, protecting you, prospering you even when you are sleeping. And everything is going to be alright.
"I rest before God and do not involve myself in great matters, or in things too difficult for me. Surely I have composed and quieted my soul; like a weaned child rests against his mother. My soul is like a weaned child within me." Psalm 131:1-2.
